With the increasing demand for vibration and noise reduction,the damping characteristics of materials have gradually become an important evaluation criterion.It becomes a trend to explore new high-performance damping materials.In the application process of composite damping structure,accurate prediction of its damping characteristics is a major problem that has always hindered the application of composite damping structures.Firstly,based on the first order shear deformation theory,the vibration differential equations of multilayer composite damping structures are derived.A fast convergence method is proposed for engineering computation based on the improved Fourier series method.The influence of the thickness of the substrate,the thickness of the damping layer and the thickness of the restraint layer on the damping characteristics of the composite damping structure is calculated by using the method proposed in this thesis.Through studying the existing structural damping experiment results,damping structure performance test method is selected.The accuracy of the simulation results is verified,and structure design is completed.For practical engineering applications,constrained structure is not convenient for continuous materials.The equivalent modulus migration coefficient of constrained layer is used to fit the actual constraint effect of constrained layer,and the damping characteristic of constrained damping structure under discontinuous constraints is obtained.Based on the research results,the simulation and related experiments on the cabin wall have been done,which confirm the effectiveness of constrained damping structure design through vibration response data.By the comparing a variety of excitation experiment and simulation,it shows that the prediction accuracy of the proposed method.From the prediction of composite damping structure and other common composite damping structures,the existing damping effect in the diesel generator cabin have been predicted.Through the comparison of vibration level before and after the modification,it shows that the design of composite damping structure have improved the performance,while the requirement for the size and weight is satisfied.
