In recent years,UHV power projects in China have been strongly promoted,more and more transmission lines need to cross complex areas,leading to the formation of ice on the lines,and the occurrence of ice cover accidents is mainly related to the change of ice thickness.Therefore,it is very important for accident prevention and improving the stability of the system to know the icing state of the line in real time and get the ice thickness value quickly.Compared with the artificial observation of ice coating,the use of image technology to observe the ice coating can guarantee the real-time,rapidity,economic and other requirements of the observation.This article takes image technology as the research object,carrying out related research work on the collection and processing of ice-covered images,in order to further improve the accuracy of the collection and processing of ice-covered images.This paper first studies the analysis method of ice thickness of power transmission lines,including image pre-processing,edge detection,the number of pixels to determine the presence of ice coating and ice thickness calculations.In the process of image preprocessing,the histogram equalization technique is proposed to preprocess illumination because of the difficulty of target recognition due to the noise such as illumination in the process of image acquisition.In addition,in order to reduce the influence of the image on the weather and noise during the acquisition process,this paper proposes a method that the adaptive median filter and wavelet transform are used to preprocess the image.In the edge detection,for the case that the traditional detection method can not achieve the desired effect,an improved edge detection algorithm is proposed for edge detection of the image.Then,the ice-covered terminal acquisition system of transmission line isdesigned,the hardware and software circuits of five modules,such as microcontroller,temperature sensor,humidity sensor,camera,Bluetooth and so on,are designed.Finally,according to the designed acquisition system,data transmission is realized through Bluetooth,and the image and temperature and humidity are collected and displayed.Finally,the ice coating information terminal acquisition system was designed to collect the image before and after the ice coating of the line.Combined with the proposed ice coating thickness analysis method,the image was processed and analyzed in detail.Thus,a more accurate value of ice thickness is obtained.
