In the history of mankind,a city appears as a place for commercial goods exchange after its basic consumption goods are secured.Therefore,the influence of a city is generally the vitality of its business.The commercial pedestrian street is the embodiment of urban economic vitality,and also an important place for urban residents’ activities.Along with the prosperity of Chinese economy,the construction of urban commercial pedestrian street is developing rapidly.Pedestrian street has sprung up like spring bamboo shoots in the view of people.But the appearance of these pedestrian streets is almost the same,and there is an increasing trend.This only provides visitors with a kind of shopping container,can not bring psychological and spiritual enjoyment to consumers,and can not activate their inner deep understanding and understanding of the pedestrian street,and can not produce a sense of recognition and home.As the capital of Zhou,Qin,Han,Tang and other dynasties,Xi’an witnessed the development of Chinese history.The rich historical culture of Xi’an and other factors such as geography are very different from the advanced economic cities(such as Beijing、Shanghai and Guangzhou)as well as other cities.Therefore,it is of great significance to study the identifiability of the pedestrian street in Xi’an.First of all,this paper Learns from the case of two pedestrian streets outside Xi’an in China;then,selects four pedestrian streets in Xi’an,conducts field research and surveys of tourists of the pedestrian street;secondly,this paper emerges from the visitors’ questionnaires,Combines with the theoretical basis of Gestalt psychology,place spirit,environmental behavior,and regional culture,and the four streets of space,landscape elements,and scales.explore the causes behind the highly identified landscape elements in the pedestrian street,and summarize the principles and methods for improving identifiability: 1.Visual aspects,on the one hand,Identification is related to frequency of appearance landscape elements,and it is confirmed that the frequency of appearance of landscape elements is positively correlated with the recognition of landscape elements when tourists is walking in the pedestrian street.On the other hand,the obvious figure ground relationship is a sufficient condition for high recognition;2.Cultural aspects,making full use of regional culture can effectively increase the recognition;3.Behavior aspects,the interaction between tourists and landscape elements is process and results of emotion conclusion,the increase in the number of opportunities and times of interaction,and the corresponding increase in its identification.And elaborated on the square,how to increase the opportunities for interaction and so on.Finally,the above method for improving the recognition of landscape elements was verified Great Tang All Day Mall pedestrian street in Xi’an.The significance of this paper: in theory,it provides new ideas and methods for improving the identifiability of commercial pedestrian streets in Xi’an.On the other hand,in practice,the study can enhances the awareness and understanding of the commercial pedestrian street in Xi’an,and creates a comfortable and pleasant environment for the tourists,and increases economic benefits of commercial pedestrian streets.
