| Since energy consumption is increasing year by year,conventional energy resources are facing an increasingly exhausted dilemma.As one kind of renewable energy source,wind energy has a very large reserve,which has been widely recognized by all countries in the world.This paper combines research hotspots in the field of wind turbines,compares and studies the structural characteristics of steel towers and flexible towers using composite materials.Taking into account the time-varying characteristics of loads under different operating conditions,dynamics of tower structure of wind turbines are performed.This paper chooses the horizontal axis 2MW variable speed wind turbine as the research object,selects two different material wind turbine towers:Q235 steel and new composite material-glass fiber/epoxy material,using GH Bladed software performs complete modeling of the two turbines.The design load conditions for normal power generation condition,start-up condition,and emergency shutdown condition are discussed.Using ANSYS Workbench 16.0 software,two finite element models were built for the wind turbine towers of different materials.Flexibility,modal analysis,static strength and vibration response analysis of towers were performed under different conditions.It is concluded that the quality of the wind turbine attached to the flexible tower of composite material reduces the vibration frequency of the tower and increases the possibility of resonance even more.At the extreme load,the displacement of the flexible tower of composite materials is greater,but good design can guarantee its stress.The vibration response analysis indicates that the strength of the two material towers meets the requirements of the design specification under various operating conditions,and the aim of research can be placed on avoiding tower resonance problems during startup and emergency shutdown.After the safety can be ensured,the economics of two different materials towers are also analyzed,and the economic advantage of the composite material tower are pointed out.Therefore,this paper provides an effective method for wind turbine tower safety and economic evaluation under different materials and conditions. |
