Compressed air energy storage system(CAES)is a kind of energy storage system which can realize large capacity,long time energy storage and large-scale commercialization.The application prospect of CAES system has been recognized by more and more scholars at home and abroad.However,its complex working conditions and thermodynamic problems sensitivity bring us along some difficulties to studying its related characteristics in the actual research and tests,such as high cost and difficulties in the operations and maintenance.And it may also have some certain risks,which brings many difficulties to the related research of the system.Therefore,it is particularly important to study its mathematical modeling and physical simulation.This thesis firstly studies the scroll expander,the core component of the CAES system,and introduces its structure,working principle and characteristics.In view of the characteristics of the scroll expander,the mathematical model is set up,and the simulation research is carried out.Secondly,a physical simulation system of CAES system is put forward and established.According to the rotating speed of the scroll expander and the load torque of the generator recorded in the experiment,the principle numerical simulation of the physical simulation system of CAES system is carried out.The results show that the physical simulation system achieves excellent performance under all air pressure conditions.The performance,basically achieves the mechanical rotation characteristic of the scroll expander in the physical simulation of CAES system.In a way,it also achieves the equivalent simulation of the output characteristic of the system and the purpose of the physical simulation of the CAES system.This physical simulation system solves the bottleneck problem of which cannot be achieved in the real dynamic physical simulation system in the study of the CAES system.At last,the test platform of the CAES system is used to carry out the related test without load.The import and export temperature of the scroll expander,the inlet and outlet pressure of the scroll expander,the gas flow,the torque and the speed of the scroll expander,the voltage,current and the power of the three-phase permanent magnet generator are measured.In order to verify the accuracy of the mathematical model of the scroll expander,the related characteristics of the CAES system are studied and analyzed in the actual situation.The results show that the simulation results are in good alignment with the actual working conditions of the scroll expander,which verifies the accuracy of the mathematical model.
