The Tokamak device is the most promising device for achieving controlled nuclear fusion currently to solve the energy crisis.The device is bulky,has high energy,and has a complex subsystem.In order to better guide the work of these systems,control systems,especially plasma control systems,are crucial.The plasma control system mainly controls the power supply and the auxiliary heating and feeding system by receiving signals from the diagnostic measurement system,thereby controlling the fusion reaction plasma.The main difficulty of the plasma control system lies in the fact that a large number of external subsystems are required to confine the plasma dynamically in a very short time.In this paper,a smart plasma control system is studied and designed which is based on the J-TEXT Tokamak.This paper shows the status quo and requirements of plasma control systems for mainstream and future Tokamak.Combined with the current development of J-TEXT Tokamak,this paper studies and designs the J-TEXT plasma control real-time framework and the J-TEXT’s third-generation plasma control system.Since the plasma control systems for very large devices such as ITER and CFETR are in the conceptual design stage,and some ITER CODAC standards have been developed currently.In order to verify the ITER CODAC related design,this paper researches and develops a new real-time framework and plasma control system based on ITER CODAC standard with Linux and C++.Among them,the real-time framework is mainly used to provide a simple and efficient real-time developing environment,and the plasma control system is mainly used to implement plasma control algorithms and operations.At the end of this paper,the real-time framework and the plasma control system are tested.As a prototype,the feasibility of the real-time framework and plasma control system is verified.The real-time framework and plasma control system designed in this paper was formally deployed in J-TEXT in the Spring of 2017 experiment campaign,and ensured a good running state through the spring 2017 experiment campaign and the spring experiment campaign in 2018,which is building a good experimental platform for more smart plasma control algorithm.
