With the rapid development of Chinese transportation construction,the expressway and high-speed railway are gradually extending to the central and western regions.Due to the central and western regions in China are mostly alpine valleys and gullies,and from the point of view of economy and professional perspectives,ultra-high pier beam Bridges,especially ultra-high pier continuous rigid frame bridges are more and more popular,because of its excellent spanning capability.With the employment of the concrete ultra-high pier,the problem is also followed,and the influence of sunlight temperature on the bridge is more and more significant.Under the influence of the sunlight and the surrounding environment,ultra-high hollow thin-walled pier produce a complex temperature field of three-dimensional direction,and the ultra-high hollow thin-walled pier arises the deformation of three-dimensional direction because of the temperature field,eventually it will have an important impact on the bridge construction stages,especially the accuracy of the closure stage.The paper is based on a bridge which belongs to the XiYin expressway project(the main bridge is a PC continuous rigid frame bridge with a span of 95+3 × 180+95m),and the temperature field and its effect of ultra-high hollow thin-walled pier were researched by means of the combination of the field measured temperature and the simulation and analysis of the finite element.Using the sunshine parameter calculation method of the ultra-high hollow thin-walled pier,and the establishment of the parameters which are required in finite element model has been done in combination with the actual meteorological features of the field site;Through the analysis of the field measured temperature data,the temperature field distribution law of the ultra-high hollow thin-walled pier along the wall thickness was obtained;Using finite element method and combined with ultra-high hollow thin-walled pier of the finite element model which is considered of the third kind boundary condition,the distribution law of ultra-high hollow thin-walled pier was obtained and the formula of temperature gradient was fitted too,and the accuracy of ANSYS finite element model was determined by comparing the measured temperature data with the finite element calculation results.The temperature field distribution along the height was simulated and analyzed,and the related calculation formula was given.According to the distribution of temperature field of the pier,the timing of the closure stage which is satisfied with the requirements of the construction and the influence of the temperature field to the closure of the main girder were researched.And the influence of the temperature field to the bridge which is during the bridge operation stage were researched.
