| Plenum fan and plug fan are both parts of unhoused centrifugal fan,which is actually a variant of the centrifugal fan.Compared with traditional centrifugal fans,unhoused centrifugal fan has several advantages,such as smaller sizes,easier installation and repair,lower noise,any air supply direction.However,there are some inadequacies in the use of unhoused centrifugal fans.Low fan efficient and insufficient static pressure limit further development of this type of centrifugal fan.In this paper,a plenum fan using axial air supply method is analyzed as subject.Major work are divided into 6 parts and listed below:(1)The main structures and performance parameters of the plenum fan are introduced briefly.Then differences among plenum fan,plug fan and traditional centrifugal fan,changes of air velocity and energy in the inner plenum fan using axial air supply method are analyzed in detail.(2)With the utilization of fluent,air flow field of the inner plenum fan using axial air supply method is simulated,and the characters of air flow,pressure and noise are analyzed afterwards.Using the simulation images and data,combined with theories of plenum fan axial air supply method,the chief reasons of low fan efficient and insufficient static pressure in this type of air supply method are study and summarized.(3)According to the national standard GB / T 1236-2000 and GB / T 2888-2008,fan performance test platform is built,at the same time,experiments including noises of the outlet and cabinet of the plenum fan are designed.(4)Solving problems of low fan efficient and insufficient static pressure,the influence of reform from different parts and their optimization direction are discussed and studied.(5)With the optimization aim of fan efficiency and noise,using Design-export as tool for the design of experiment,the structure sizes of the cabinet are optimized by the Response Surface Method.By changes of structure sizes,the total pressure efficiency increases by 7.5% and the static pressure efficiency by 9.5%.(6)With the optimization aim of fan efficiency and static pressure,different plans of air guide plates are designed.Combined with the simulation images and data,choosing air guide plate with radius of 150 mm as the better scheme,which increases the static pressure by 17 pa and the fan static efficiency by 9%. |
