The high-speed development of emerging technologies such as big data,cloud computing,Internet of things has brought new reform to IT industry.There is an increasing requirement of data communication capacity,transmission speed and quality of communication in optical transmission network.Consequently,the contradiction between this increasing requirement with the development process of the existing network technology increasingly stand out.On the one hand,in response to the increasing demand for network bandwidth,the researchers have achieved rapid development in the ultra-large capacity of optical fiber transmission technology.In terms of physical limits of transmission ability in the present single mode optical fiber,novel optical fiber multiplexing technology and large capacity short distance space-division multiple access are further developed to ease data capacity crisis;On the other hand,Ultra-high speed optical transmission network and architecture of software defined network arise at the historic moment,the whole social network is "decentralization",data center gradually become the core of data communication network.In general,ultra-high speed,large-capacity optical transmission technology and all-optical network switching technology will be the direction of the future development of optical networks.The large capacity and short distance optical interconnection technology for data center is designed to construct elastic optical network to improve the utilization rate of communication bandwidth resources.The allocation bandwidth is adjusted flexibly according to the data flow size to integrate the data.The available resources are allocated efficiently to the most demanding area.The network technology of optical network will also evolve from the pure electric layer network to a unified networking mode with large capacity which combines electrical interconnection and optical interconnection.This paper is dedicated to break limitations in optical switching time of traditional optical switching technology,specific to application scenario for data center,research on the high speed optical switch technology based on digital micro-mirror device(DMD)is done,the research mainly contains two aspects:(1)Firstly,blazed micro-grating array is designed and fabricated in engineering,break the bottleneck with "diffraction limit" of the high-speed optical switch based on DMD,promote the efficiency of the high speed optical switch based on DMD,increase feasibility of the high speed optical switch based on DMD in the field of data center;(2)The research on combining high-speed optical switch based on DMD with the nondiffracting and self-healing characteristics of Bessel beam is done,and a novel method which applies high speed optical switch based on DMD to data center thermal turbulent perturbation is proposed.and its feasibility was verified in the experiment.All in all,a series of technical research on high speed optical switch based on DMD are carried out,especially remarkable significances are obtained on breaking through "diffraction limit" of high speed optical switch based on DMD.These research results have potential application in the field of data center and optical network for high speed expansion lines.
