In order to meet the safety and ride comfort of UTV which works in complex road conditions,the adjustable damping shock absorber with solenoid valve for UTV was designed.The characteristics of the solenoid valve and the adjustable damping shock absorber were studied.The main contents are as follows:(1)Based on the suspension vibration model of UTV,the optimal damping ratio expression with the safety and comfort of UTV vehicle suspension was deduced.Combined with the optimal damping ratio of safety and the smoothness,the range of damping ratio for UTV vehicles was obtained.The damping force range of the adjustable shock absorber for a semi-active suspension of UTV was calculated.Based on the theory of adjustable valve,solenoid valve type adjustable damper was designed(2)The electromagnet with quasi-constant force characteristics of the solenoid valve was analyzed by the electromagnetic theory,and at the same time,the electromagnet was modeled and parameterized in the Ansoft software by means of the finite element method.The structural parameters that affect the relationship which is approximately linear between electromagnetic force and currents were analyzed and the law of influence was obtained.With the aid of fluid mechanics,the theoretical analysis and mathematical model of the solenoid valve with different working conditions were established.The simulation models of the solenoid valve under different working conditions were established by MATLAB/simulink.The influence of different structural parameters on the characteristics of the solenoid valve were analyzed and the relationships between the flow and pressure difference of the solenoid valve under different working conditions with different currents were simulated.(3)The deformation of the valve plate was analyzed by the theory of elastic mechanics buckling and deformation.Based on the hydraulic oil circuit diagram of its working stroke,the deformation of the valve plate,the characteristics of the solenoid valve,and the knowledge of fluid mechanics,the mathematical model for the damping force of the adjustable damper stroke and compression stroke was established.The simulation model of adjustable shock absorber was established under the MATLAB/simulink environment and the external characteristics of the shock absorber was studied under the same excitation current with different control excitation currents and different control currents with the same excitation input.The relationship between excitation and damping force and the relationship between control current and damping force were obtained.(4)The prototype was producted and a test program of the adjustable damper was designed in view of the test standard of the shock absorber.The prototype was test by the single-channel test bench and the external characteristics of the adjustable shock absorber were obtained.The results show that the damping force of the adjustable shock absorber is inversely proportional to the currents,and the adjustment range of the rebound damping force is greater than the range of the compression damping force.The agreement between the test results and the simulation results confirms the feasibility of the adjustable damper and the correctness of the simulation model.
