The nuclear polar crane is a special heavy-duty bridge crane that provides lifting services for the installation and maintenance of heavy equipment in the reactor buildings and for the refueling of reactors in the construction and operation phase of nuclear power plants.China builds 3 to 5 nuclear polar cranes each year, and currently it is building the third generation of the nuclear polar cranes.Whether it is China’s independent construction of third-generation nuclear polar crane or the consideration of China’s nuclear polar crane going abroad, this kind of localization and autonomy brings a series of new problems and technical difficulties to the circular cranes.Among them, seismic analysis is the key technology involved in the safety of nuclear power plants. However, the structure of the nuclear polar crane is huge and complex.Due to the limitation of experimental conditions and cost, there are many difficulties in the anti-seismic test of the actual structure. Therefore,it is significant to use the scale model for the experimental study of the anti-seismic performance of the nuclear polar crane. In this paper, the third generation of nuclear polar crane is used as the research object, and the seismic experiments are conducted as a preliminary study. The main work includes:(1)The basic concepts of similarity theory and the method of solving similarity criteria are introduced. The similarity criterion of the dynamics after distortion based on the experimental requirements is deduced;(2)Dynamic similarity scale model is designed according to the similarity criterion.A seismic vibration experiment bench is used to perform biaxial seismic simulation experiment of the model, and the artificially fitted El Centro waves and Los Angeles waves are loaded in horizontal and vertical directions;(3)The time history analysis of the model is performed by the numerical simulation software ABAQUS and HyperMesh. The simulation results are compared with the experimental results to obtain the regularity of the anti-seismic experiment and the dynamic characteristics of the model. The advantages and disadvantages of the scale model experiment are analyzed;(4)A dynamic-equivalent model which is not similar in geometry but similar in frequency with the prototype is designed, and make its modality consistent with the prototype.Perform seismic simulation experiments to obtain the results that can accurately reflect dynamic response of the prototype structure in the seismic wave. The results can provide basis for many aspects, such as the determination of jumping and the test of vibration isolation, also provide a new idea for the model design of seismic experiments. The conclusion is given at the end of the dissertation, and the direction of the further research is pointed out.
