The research object of this paper is the new type steel special-shaped column and its beam column connection node.With the requirement of new materials and new technology development and the function of building more complex,the steel structure construction of retaining wall thickness decreases,the problem of the protruding of the column angle is serious,The effective use of construction area is reduced,and the appearance of functional requirements severely affected,The steel special-shaped column frame structure emerges as the times require.However,the traditional steel column stress characteristics is complex,it has low bearing capacity and poor stability,the research connections and matching of the beam column is also very small,so the research of steel column and beam column joints has high research value and practical significance.In view of this,a new type of steel special-shaped column and Semi-Rigid Joints are proposed in this paper.The bending performance of the new steel special-shaped column and the seismic performance of the joint are analyzed.It provides a reference for the effective technical support and engineering application for the formation of new type steel special-shaped column structure system.The main research work is as follows:(1)Theoretical calculation of new special-shaped steel column and new beam column connection joint.The theoretical calculation of axial compression bearing capacity and buckling stability of the new steel special-shaped columns proposed in this paper is further discussed.According to the requirements of seismic design code,the basic design and force calculation of the new type of steel column connections with special-shaped columns are carried out.(2)Optimal study on the design of new steel special-shaped column and its bending strength and stability performance.In this paper,a new type of steel special-shaped column is put forward,and 11 sets of experimental models are set up.The bending strength and stability of the specimens were analyzed by finite element simulation.The failure mechanism,deformation process and ultimate load carrying capacity of the specimens were analyzed.Test the column web thickness,flange thickness,web hole spacing,eccentricity as parameters,obtained the ultimate bearing capacity,load displacement curve of the short column under bias condition.The results show that compared withthe traditional steel special-shaped columns,the buckling load of the new steel special-shaped columns is increased by about 7.1% under the condition of similar steel volume,and the stability is better.(4)Study on the design and seismic performance of a new beam column joint with special steel column.In this paper,a beam column connection suitable for a new steel shaped column is proposed.The pseudo static test of full scale members of 3 groups of L shaped section steel special-shaped column beam column joints under low cyclic loading is carried out.The general end plate connection is set up as the contrast group to investigate the mechanical and seismic performance of the new type of joint under the earthquake action.The test shows that the bearing capacity and hysteresis performance of the new type node are better than that of the end plate joint.When a node is subjected to an earthquake,the failure mode is plastic damage to the local buckling.Before failure,the joints undergo a complete elastic stage and plastic stage.The plastic hinge is located on the beam section outside the node and develops well,which has good plasticity rotation capacity,ductility and energy dissipation capacity.At the same time,under the same working conditions,the finite element simulation of the specimen is carried out,which confirms each other with the test,indicating that the new node has better ductility and seismic capacity.
