Electro-hydraulic proportional valve is a key component in electro-hydraulic proportion control system.the function of hydraulic system will be affected by its performance decrease or failure,and the erosion failure is one of the main failure type of the electro-hydraulic proportional valve.This article regard the electro-hydraulic proportional direction valve as the research object,and the internal two phase flow properties and solid particle erosion of electro-hydraulic proportional direction valve were studied with numerical and experimental methods.The control equation of continuous phase and momentum equation of the discrete phase was established by the physical analysis;According to the turbulence theory,random walk theory and erosion theory,the turbulence model,random walk model,particle rebound model and erosion model were set up.The 3D simulation model was established,according to the structure characteristics of the electro-hydraulic proportional directional value.The internal two phase flow characteristics and erosion of valve core was simulated by Fluent,and the relationship between flow parameter and erosion rate was analyzed.The experiment platform of erosion was set up,according to the principle of the valve core erosion experiment.The influence of flow rate and the valve core hardness affect the erosion wear of valve core was analyzed,and the experiments have been carried out to verify the simulation results.Based on the result of numerical simulation and erosion experiment,the relationship between the flow capacity of the valve and the particle diameter was achieved and the flow capacity of the valve is reduced with the increase of particle diameter.As the particle velocity increasing,the erosion rate will increase,but when the valve opening degree and the hardness of valve core increasing,the erosion rate will decrease;the erosion rate will increase first,then decrease with the increase of the particle diameter.In this article the erosion research on valve core of electro-hydraulic proportional directioncan provide the theoretical foundation for its life prediction.
