| The rapid development of the automotive industry requires the recirculating ball variable ratio steering has better performance and shorter development cycles.However,the variable ratio gear pair,which is the key components of recirculating ball variable ratio steering,has no mature design theory and methods.Besides,the traditional design methods require repeated prototyping,which results in a long design cycle,low design accuracy,high cost,and the steering corporate cannot quickly meet the requirements of the vehicle corporate.Therefore,this study develops the design and analysis integration system for recirculating ball variable ratio steering gear based on gear element method,so as to improve recirculating ball steering gear ratio R & D efficiency,shorten the development cycle and improve the market competitiveness of steering corporate.The main research work of this paper is as follows:(1)Describe the structure of recirculating ball variable ratio steering and the principle of variable ratio gear pair,and analysis the design process of recirculating ball variable ratio steering.Then,based on the problems in the design process,analysis the function requirements of the design and analysis integration system.At last,according to the requirements,design the function modules,application framework and database of the system.(2)Study the key technologies for the design and analysis integration system development.The key technologies are as follows: how to establish the design program for variable ratio gear tooth profile,and how to package and call it;how to establish the automatic modeling program for variable ratio gear pair;how to establish the finite element analysis program for variable ratio gear and realize the parameterized analysis process recirculating;how to realize the automatic model conversion of the integration system.(3)Based on the system developing platform-Visual Studio 2008,using VB programming language,through MATLAB mixed programming,SolidWorks secondary development,ANSYS secondary development,develop the variable ratio gear tooth profile design module,variable ratio gear pairs automatic parametric modeling module and analysis module,which are the main function modules of the design and analysis integration system for recirculating ball variable ratio steering gear pair.At last,an integration platform and a common database is established to realize the integration of all the function modules.(4)Use a design example to introduce the use method of design and analysis integration system for recirculating ball variable ratio steering gear pair,while verifying the performance of the system.The results of research work can shorten the development cycle and reduce the development costs of the recirculating ball variable ratio steering,and can also enhance the market competitiveness for steering corporate.At the same time,the research methods can provide technical information for the development of design and analysis integration system for other parts which is difficult to design. |
