With the rapid development of railway industry in our country,,the safety performance of trains is constantly improving.“China Made 2025” has mentioned the top ten key development areas in the future.Advanced railway transportation equipment is one of them.As the key parts of railway trains,wheels and axles play a crucial role in the safe and stable operation of trains.At present,in wheel or axle fatigue tests,most of the wheel-axle fatigue testing machines are designed for a single test project.The scope,adaptability,and completeness of the equipment cannot fully meet the diversity needs of modern fatigue tests.This paper analyzes the current situation of wheel and axle fatigue testing machine at home and abroad,and proposes a structure that can achieve wheel-rail contact fatigue test and axle bending fatigue test for the problem that existing testing machine can only achieve a single fatigue test.Through the analysis of the working mechanism of the fatigue testing machine,an overall design proposal was put forward,and the mechanical structure was modularly divided,simplifying the complexity of the design,realizing the flexible replacement between parts and components,and ensuring that the designed testing machine meets the requirements;For high-cycle fatigue test requirements,fatigue calculations and strength checks were performed on the stressed parts to verify the rationality of the structural design;According to the cumulative fatigue damage theory,the static structural analysis of the key structures was performed using ANSYS finite element software.The fatigue life prediction was carried out by the rail contact fatigue test and the axle bending fatigue test,which ensured the reliability of the overall structure;The fuzzy adaptive PID control algorithm was used to study the control system of the longitudinal loading mechanism and the control system was implemented using the MATLAB simulation module.Simulation analysis has realized the constant force loading control of the longitudinal loading mechanism;the designed train wheel and axle fatigue testing machine is used for the test.The result shows that the testing machine can realize two kinds of fatigue tests,and the number of revolutions of the tested sample can reach high cycle fatigue test required.In this paper,through the design and research about the fatigue testing machine of train wheel and axle,effectively simulates the actual movement conditions of the wheel and the axle,and the design and manufacturing costs are reduced.The research on improving the quality and safety of railway trains and further fatigue tests in China has a certain positive effect.
