In the past sixty years,the urban underground pipelines in our country have gone through a process from initial establishment to gradual improvement.With the rapid development of urbanization in China,underground pipelines have encountered various problems.The construction of underground utility tunnel is imminent since the contradiction between the rapid development of urbanization and the lagging behind the construction of underground infrastructure is increasingly prominent today.Finally,this paper makes a survey of the present situation of underground utility tunnel at home and abroad.It is found that the construction planning,investment and financing,cost sharing and laws and regulations are the major obstacles in the development of utility tunnel in China.Secondly,taking the Nanjing Hexi underground utility tunnel as the research object,the distribution of temperature and humidity in a ventilation section of Jiangdong south road was tested in the spring.The test data is briefly processed and analyzed.The article obtained first-hand data showing the characteristics of the thermal environment of the utility tunnel.Then,a standard underground utility tunnel with a length of 200 m is used as the research objects.This paper simplifies the underground utility tunnel,and a numerical model is established for the heat and moisture exchange between the air and the wall during the ventilation process.It is found that the model results and the test results have certain deviations,but they are all within the acceptable scope of the project.Finally,based on the validated numerical model,the effect of different air temperature,relative humidity and ventilation on the air temperature and humidity distribution inside the utility tunnel is studied.
