| Bamboo features abundance,short growth cycle,green and low cost,which is a dominant advantage in the background of sustainable development.China is honored as“The kingdom of bamboo” with a variety of bamboo species,abundant bamboo production and preferable economic utilization level.The original bamboo building has a long history and forms its unique local culture in the long time of social production and traditional life.Curve is more complicated compared with straight line with various types,which can increase uncertainty in architectural space as an active element and meet people’s demand psychologically and visually to a great extent.This paper aims at exploring design method of exerting original bamboo’s property through curved elements’ introduction in order to reinforcement implication expression and sustainable development of original bamboo architecture in new era.This paper is based on 100 excellent original bamboo building design cases.First of all,as a great variety of curved elements are found in cases,this research introduces curved elements into original bamboo architecture as an evoked factor innovatively in order to find out the co-existence relation between bamboo and curve.Then the curved shape design method in original bamboo building is concluded and classified by means of line,surface and column so as to explore the formation mechanism in form modeling of bamboo building.Last but not least,in the basis of plenty of case study,field investigation and closed relation between bamboo and curve as mentioned earlier,the Focus Group research method is adopt.Modern design strategy of the curved element adapted to original bamboo building is proposed from three aspects of structure logic,naturalness expression and spirit connotation.The result of this research is expected to instruct the modern original bamboo building design and promote bamboo,the traditional building material,to revitalize in modern architecture design. |
