Along with large-scale infrastructure construction and the rapid process of urbanization in China,the construction land increasingly nervous.In recent years,more and more urban expressways and urban overpasses are constructed rapidly.However,during the operating process of viaduct,there is differential settlement disease with the road under the viaduct,some sections of the settlement height difference about 20 centimeters.It brings great inconvenience to traffic and affects the traffic seriously.In order to avoid the road disease and potential risk that results from the early stage of the viaduct construction.It is necessary to analyze and study the causes of present situation or the damage mechanism,meanwhile,it is compulsory to propose a reasonably feasible solution.Based on the way of on-site investigation to collect engineering general situation,combined with the literature reading and main factors that influence the deformation of pavement are put forward,which are soft soil foundation,the cushion cap,adjacent foundation pit excavation and precipitation.Based on the engineering characteristics of soft soil,the characteristics of soft soil foundation are analyzed,and the mechanism of soft soil foundation settlement deformation is studied in this paper.At the same time,using Midas GTS NX software to simulate and analyze the influence of two factors,which are the cushion cap and the adjacent foundation pit excavation and precipitation.The results show that the settlement difference of the road under the viaduct decreases with the increase of the depth of the cushion cap and the increase of the road surface stiffness.The excavation and precipitation of the adjacent foundation pit have certain influence on the settlement of the road.With the increase of the depth of excavation and precipitation,the vertical settlement and horizontal displacement of the pavement increases.At the same time,the farther away from the foundation pit,the smaller the vertical settlement and horizontal displacement of the pavement.Based on the analysis of the mechanism of the differential settlement of the road under the viaduct,some effective measures are put forward in this paper.Such as strengthening the soft soil foundation,increasing the depth of the cushion cap,improving the stiffness of the road,controlling the the impact of the adjacent foundation pit excavation and precipitation on the surrounding environment,ect.The conclusions and suggestions in this paper have some reference value to the similar engineering problems and help to realize the process and standardization of issue solving.
