The millimeter wave band is located between the microwave band and infrared spectroscopy,and have the microwave and infrared characteristic,and it can penetrate the clouds,the mist and to some extent the rainfall area.According to the literature,the radiation brightness temperature of the solid rocket motor plume in 8mm band is up to1000 K.Therefore,applying the millimeter wave radiation detection as the supplementary method of infrared defense system to detect the plume targets in the atmosphere is worthy of researching.In this paper,firstly,the absorption coefficient and the self-radiation of the plume radiation's atmospheric transmission path are analyzed.8mm and 3mm are chosen as the detection frequency in millimeter wave band.Then,based on the theory of bremsstrahlung radiation,the radiation brightness temperature of the solid rocket motor plume at 8mm and 3mm is obtained.Then,the plume is brought into the atmospheric path,and the integrated brightness temperature of the plume detected by the satellite platform and the ground-based platform is calculated under the typical atmospheric environment.Based on the integrated brightness temperature,the real aperture radiometer parameters on the satellite platform and the ground-based platform are designed.The parameters of the ground-based platform and low orbit satellite platform radiometers are acceptable,but the ability of global early warning is limited.The real aperture radiometer can not meet the detection requirements on the orbit satellite platform,because the resolution parameter is too large.To improve the resolution,the synthetic aperture detection scheme is brought out.The one-dimensional uniform linear array and two-dimensional T array are designed to meet the detection requirements on the satelliteplatform.Then,a synthetic aperture experiment system is used to carry out the 1-D and2-D resolution experiments,and the results verify the resolution theory.
