Research On Reconstruction Design Of Old Industrial Factory

The renewal and reconstruction of the old industrial zone is one of the main contents of the urban renewal practice in our country.With the industrial upgrading,creative industries gradually take the place of conventional industry.By transforming the old factory building into a creative office building,combining the creative industry with the old industrial building,we can improve the quality of the space environment of the old industrial base and activate the old urban area.It is also a good way to effectively promote the overall optimization of urban spatial structure.Through the research and summary of the literature and design cases of the transformation of old factory buildings into creative office space at home and abroad,the author concludes that the transformation of industrial buildings can be divided into four different ways: protective transformation,decorative transformation,developmental transformation and creative transformation.There are five kinds of design techniques,such as replacing space,mixing style,changing architecture texture and color,optimizing function and adopting the way of contrast and coordination.Through creative transformation,using the replacement space,mixing style,changing the texture and color of the building,optimizing the function,and the design method of compare,combining the theory with the concrete project of the No.16 factory building of Hangzhou textile mill.The first floor is an open space with the functions of sale,display,lecture,and the second and third floor is the creative building with office space.Through the design practice,the following conclusions are drawn:1.The reconstruction design of creative office space should follow these design principle: combining with the characteristics of the industry;opening the work place;building the public space;following the historical context;and taking the staff demand as the starting point.2.For the office space which transformed the factory building,we should pay attention to the vertical scale of the building,and make use of the advantage of the indoor height,and use the way of adding the storey to expand the using area.3.Through the investigation of the experience and needs of employees,we found that we should pay attention to the social attributes of office space,and create more open space to promote social interaction behavior and the mutual communication of employees,so as to improve the efficiency of office and harmony within the company.The design case is different from the ordinary office space design,based on the needs of the staff,actively create public space,abandon the cubicle,and create a relaxed and comfortable working environment.Under the environment of urban renewal,this paper provides a sustainable development design method of old factory building,adhering to the principle of intensive use of land,continuing the historical context of the city,and reactivating and revitalizing the old urban area.
