The research about automobile collision avoidance radar is becoming popular in the world,and it starts late in our country.Automobile collision avoidance radar can reduce the occurrence of traffic accidents on the one hand,and on other hand it is an important part of automobile driving system in future,therefore,it has great significance to study it.During the development of automobile collision avoidance radar,lots of experiments outside are needed,if there are target simulators,we can simulate various scenes in the laboratory and save development costs.The purpose of this thesis is to study the target environment of automobile collision avoidance radar and design the target simulator,the main work is as follows:1.The working system of automobile collision avoidance radar is introduced,and the principle of ranging and velocity measurement for LFMCW system radar is analyzed.The ambiguity function of radar and the way to improving the resolving power of radar range and speed are introduced.2.According to the working principle of the car collision avoidance radar,the distance and velocity characteristics of the point target are both in motion and static state.The characteristics of the clutter and noise are found out from the literature.The mathematical model is introduced according the characteristics,and the target echo is modeled and simulated by compiling MATLAB program.3.This paper expounds the basic principle of CFAR processing,introduces the mean value CFAR and the ordered statistical class CFAR processing algorithm,briefly describes other CFAR processing algorithm,and compares and analyzes all kinds of algorithms mentioned before.In view of the characteristics of the targets on the road,the most suitable algorithm is selected to improve,and the performance of the new algorithm is analyzed.4.The hardware framework of a target simulator is proposed,and the principle and function of each part are analyzed.The sine wave signal is generated by the PWM module of DSP and filter to simulate the Doppler frequency,and proving the effect by observing the actual waveform.
