The construction industry is a pillar industry in China.It is also a fast-growing industry with a large number of companies.As supply and demand conflict in construction industry market gradually deepened,the degree of competition also gradually increased.As a result of the imbalance of supply and demand,construction enterprises can only survive by competing with each other and reducing the bidding price.The economic benefits of the companies over the years are gradually cut down.At present,with the comprehensive improvement of the management level of construction industry in terms of technology,quality and safety,cost management has become the most important factor in measuring the core competitiveness of construction companies.Under the condition of fierce external competition environment,S company,as a state-owned enterprise with rigid internal mechanism,faces a more severe situation.To achieve sustainable development opportunities in this situation,the best way is to continuously improve the internal management system and methods,scientifically implement cost control strategies,and effectively control costs,thus helping S company adapt to current competition surroundings.The research on cost control improvement based on value chain analysis provides specific ideas for improving the cost management ability of S company.This article selects S company in construction industry as the research object.It is based on value chain model and enterprise cost management theories,in view of the management environment of S company to conduct a comprehensive analysis of its value chain.Through the empirical study to find cost management problems in aspect of organizational structure,project management,procurement and supply management,performance appraisal,and then design the corresponding cost control improvement scheme based on the present problems.This scheme starts from the aspects of organization,management and assessment,proposes the optimization method for the organizational structure,the perspective of target cost management improvement and real-time control for the project implementation process cost management,specific improvement measures for the procurement and supply process,and proposes to establish the cost assessment system in S company.Finally,through the implementation of the scheme,it will improve the competitiveness of S company and provide the peer enterprises with appropriate cost control scheme reference.
