LED lighting in today's society has been developped rapidly.Compared to the traditional lighting,the LED lighting that has many advantages included high efficiency,long life,easy to control,energy-saving and environmental protection is called a new generation of lighting sources.Therefore,it is widely used in the world.Recently,as the increasing of LED lighting needs and market,high power LED driver chips have got great attention.LED driving chip is an essential part of the LED lighting system,it plays an important role.At present,different countries have issued different standards to standardize the market of LED lighting.These standards have proposed low EMI,high efficiency and high power factor requirements.This paper designed a high-power LED driver chips with the power factor correction.In the aspect of system control,this paper researched the system topological structure,and the influence factors of efficiency,power factor and total harmonic distortion of the system,and propose the optimization method.Furthermore,this paper studied the design principles and methods of analog circuits included PFC control,soft-switching technology,THD optimization techniques,bandgap,operational amplifier,comparator and oscillator.On the basis of the theoretical research above,this paper designed a driving chips for high power LED lighting.It is used for correcting the system power factor,reducing the current harmonic distortion,and preventing the pollution on the power grid.The PFC chip has the following characteristics: the global 85V-265 V AC input voltage,low startup current,high power factor without multiplier,fast response speed,low current harmonic distortion and perfect protection function included short circuit protection,over-current protection,over-voltage protection and over-temperature protection.Based on 40V 0.35?m BCD process,the chip designed the power supply module,the vector error amplifier module,the sawtooth wave generation module,the THD optimization module,the conduction time control module,the oscillator module,the zero current detection module,the protection and logic control module and the power MOS transistor driver module.Simulation and tape-out results show the function of each module is correct.When the input voltage is 220 V and the output power is 130 W,actual measurements indicate that the power factor is up to 0.976,the efficiency is up to 96.1%,the THD is 9.8%.The chip has realized the function of the soft switch control,and has the ability of fast response for load.Chip functionality meets design expectations.
