Railway wagon transportation has been developed toward the one of high-speed and heavy-load.To ensure the safety of wagons,periodic cleaning the wheel bearing is very essential.At the same time,the higher requirement to the performance of the bearing cleaning equipment is raised.Nozzles which areone of the main implementation components decide the cleaning performance of the equipment.Two dimensional finite element analysis model of universal cylindrical nozzle and its flow field is developed using the software named Gambit and FLUENT.Velocity contour and axial dynamic pressure curve of hitting surface are obtained forthe flow field of cylindrical nozzle.Study on four important injection parameters,which are jet pressure,target distance,jet impact angle and water temperature,are implemented.The influence rule of these four parameters on the axial dynamic pressure is introduced.Orthogonal test is adapted as the optimization method.The optimal object is to acquire the maximum axial dynamic pressure of hitting surface.Analysis of25 combination schemes with 51evels and 4 parameters are introduced.The optimal combination scheme is given and the qualitative experiments is used toverify the theoretical analysis result.Analysis results show that the maximum speed of flow is distributed in the central part after exit.Speed of flow is decreased gradually while approaching to the target board on the right.lt is decreased toward the both sides of the center line of nozzle.The effective cleaning scope of cylindrical nozzle is very narrow.But its hitting power is largein the effective hitting scope.Among the four injectionparameters,the influence degree of jet pressure on the axial dynamic pressure is the largest.The second major is the target distance.The third one is jet impact angleand the last is water temperature.This research provides a certain theoretical basis for the study of the performance of cylindrical nozzle and development of bearing cleaning equipment.
