Gear is an important part of modem transmission.It has the advantages of high transmission efficiency,smooth transmission and accurate transmission ratio,etc.,It is widely used in various industries.As the modem industry is moving towards greater efficiency and greater efficiency,the performance requirements of gears in transmission systems are increasing.Gear working environment is also more toward the direction of high-speed heavy-duty.High-speed overload will inevitably make the gear operating temperature.Gear working temperature has always been an important indicator of the gear.It affects the gear deformation and lubrication conditions,thus affecting the gear transmission stability and life.Therefore,the thermal analysis of gears is great significance to understand the working temperature of gears,the thermal deformation of gears and their influence on gear stability,lubrication conditions,and gear life and gear failure.Heat balance temperature and deformation and its effect on gear meshing are studied,Based on the theory of heat transfer,tribology,meshing of gears and thermal-elastic coupling theory,by the virtual experiment technique.The theoretical and finite element analysis methods are used synthetically in the study by the software of ANSYS.The main contents of this paper are as follows:According to gear machining conditions and meshing principle,a parametric model of gears was established by ANSYS Parametric Design Language(APDL)in the finite element software ANSYS by virtual test technology,taking the gears of a ship turret steering gearbox as a sample.Based on the theories of tribology,heat transfer and gear dynamics,the thermal balance of gears is studied.The numerical calculation of the boundary condition of the gear is carried out by MATLAB software,and the boundary conditions of the heat balance are obtained.The finite element software ANSYS is used to deal with the gear model,divide the grid,load and solve the analysis.It gets the distribution of the gear tooth temperature field,and compares the two kinds of lubrication conditions.The difference of the temperature field distribution of the gear show the change of lubrication conditions makes influence of temperature distribution on the tooth.The finite element method is used to analyze the sample gear model on the basis of thermal analysis.The type of the sample gear is transformed and analyzed in finite element software ANSYS.The stress and strain of the gear are obtained.
