Electric Power Steering System has great application prospects because of excellent power assist characteristic.As a new high-tec,EPS has been playing to the the modern vehicle development of "Safty,environmentally-friendly,Comfortable,and Energy-saving"and represents the future of automotive steering technology.Nowadays,electric power steering system has become standard equipment at compact and passenger car and will be applied to commercial car which have greater weight.As a classical active safety control technology,EPS has the viral significance to the inprove stability,and the contradition between "steering portability and steeing sensitive.The development of EPS has been paid attention by more and more people.This paper firstly chooses the key component of EPS used for a truck,and then draw on existing research results,through my own analysis,I have established the whole truck model in TruckSim and analyze the mathematical model of the electric power steering system of the components and establish a steering system simulaton model,power assisted motor model.Secondly,I design the linear assistance characteristics curve through simulation experiment result.Again,Using the relationship between motor torque and armature current,I design PID and fuzzy PID controller for the truck model;And the double layerde control strategy was designated to EPS.Finally,I do the simulation test through TruckSim and simulink,simulation of the double lane change,double folium,impulse steer and cornering with steer release in low speed.Simulation results show that:it can draw a conclusion that the vehicle model with assistant chatracteristic designed in the thesis has a better steering portability and steering road feeling.Contrast the PID and fuzzy PID control algorithm,the comparative analysis shows the two controler can achieve good steering control effects.(2)In return test,the comparative analysis shows the return controler can achieve good steering retrun control effects.
