Large-scale interconnection of renewable energy sources brings great challenges to the safe and reliable operation of power systems.Static security region(SSR)can be used to overall evaluate the security status of power system,provide security margin and optimal control information for the safe operation of the system.At present,the construction of SSR boundary is mainly based on the combination of power flow calculation and hyperplane approximation.the critical points are explored by power flow calculation,and then,the SSR surrounded with the critical points is obtained by hyperplane approximation.This method can construct SSR boundary,but aggravate the computational burden and obtain inaccurate boundary.In view of the above defects,in this paper,the thermal security region(THSR)and voltage security region(VSR)with high accuracy are obtained rapidly by optimization model which explore the SSR boundary critical points quickly.The main research contents are as follows:A new method is developed in this paper to explore the THSR boundary based on the topological characteristics of THSR.The initial critical point on the boundary of THSR is first explored by the traditional OPF,and then the critical points with different power growth directions can be tracked by the proposed method with the parameters of tracked critical point as the initial values.With the aid of the proposed method,and the THSR with high computational accuracy and efficiency is also formed.The test systems and real systems are employed to evaluate the performance of the proposed approach,the results confirm that the proposed method can improve computational efficiency in exploring THSR boundary with high accuracy.A new method is developed in this paper to explore the VSR boundary based on the topological characteristics of VSR.The initial critical point on the boundary of VSR is first explored by the traditional OPF,and then the other critical points on the boundary of VSR are tracked by the parameters of tracked critical point as the initial values in different power direction using the proposed method,and then VSR boundary is obtained.The test systems and real systems are employed to evaluate the performance of the proposed method,the results confirm that the proposed method can improve computational efficiency in exploring VSR boundary with high accuracy.
