| Nowadays,with the rapid development of digitization and related technologies,nonlinear architecture has become the main trend in contemporary architecture.This new trend and design idea benefit from the rise of computer technology in the 1970s.With the gradual emergence of the architectural trend of deconstructionism,more and more complex forms of architecture have emerged.Among them,buildings in the form of curved surfaces are best known.Expandable surface is a very small class of many surfaces,and it is also the main research ob.ject of this paper.At first,the expandable surface has been deeply studied in the field of mathematical geometry.With the development of computer technology,digital modeling and graphics technology is becoming more and more mature,and expandable surface is gradually widely used in computer graphics.With the process of industrialization,scholars and designers also realize that developable surface is a very good mathematical model in industrial design and mechanical manufacturing.The expandable surface has gradually matured in the fields of ship design,mechanical engineering,clothing design and so on,and it has a series of mature modeling tools or software.With the use of these software by Frank Gary,Hans Horaine and others in the field of architecture,we can enter the field of architectural design.However,these design tools are costly for architectural designers to learn,and have some limitations,so it is a short board for the software commonly used by architectural designers to model the expandable surface.Therefore,this paper will take expandable surface modeling generation as the core,sort out and design the modeling methods and tools suitable for architectural designers,so as to fill in the current research gaps in architecture.The first chapter of this paper mainly introduces the background of the research object and the purpose and significance of the study,and makes a reasonable choice of the research methods.The second chapter,based on the literature at home and abroad,summarizes the research in mathematics,computer graphics,mechanical engineering and architecture.The third chapter expounds the developable surface from the geometric principle and related theoretical concepts.The fourth chapter to the seventh chapter of this paper studies the three basic shape generation methods of developable surface,and the eighth chapter is to optimize and deeply design the problems and defects of the previous paper.At the same time,the tool design mentioned above is also optimized and improved.The ninth chapter is the summary and prospect of this study,and puts forward the prospect of further research in the future. |
