The voltage is one of key indicators that reflects the power system stability. In the renewable energy power system, due to the diversity of distributed generation methods, such as wind power generation and photovoltaic power generation,it is greatly affected by natural factors, resulting in large fluctuations in output power, with randomness and intermittentness. The system voltage stability will be greatly affected,so it is especially important to maintain the voltage stability of the new energy system. An observer-based DSTATCOM sliding mode control strategy for the power system with DSTATCOM is proposed in this paper. The main content of the paper include,Firstly, the background of the research topic and its significance for future energy development are introduced, and the research status of reactive power compensation control of DSTATCOM and DSTATCOM are summarized. And then, the working theory of each unit in the power system is analyzed and mathematical models are given, which includes diesel generation unit, wind generation unit and DSTATCOM.Furthermore,a whole mathematical model of the isolated wind diesel hybrid power system is established.Due to unmeasured system state,it is necessary to design an observer to estimate unmeasured system state. Then a DSATCOM adaptive fuzzy sliding mode control strategy based on sliding mode observer is designed according to the small signal model of DSTATCOM.And the isolated hybrid power system model is established through RTDS experimental platform. And the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy is verified by RTDS experiment cases. In addition,a disturbance observer is designed to estimate the external disturbance of the system based on the power system model.A disturbance observer is designed to estimate the external disturbance of the system accurately. Then an adaptive sliding mode control strategy is designed based on system observations to improve the dynamic stability of power system. The effectiveness of the proposed control strategy is verified by RTDS experimental results. Finally, the original power system model is adjusted partially,an interconnected electric power system with DSTATCOM is established. And a LSC adaptive sliding mode control strategy based on robust sliding mode observer is proposed in the charter. In order to estimate the system unmeasurable state variables,a robust sliding mode observer is designed to estimate the relevant state variables. And a control strategy based on the estimated values is designed by taking advantage of adaptive sliding mode method. The experimental results verify that the control strategy can effectively reduce system voltage deviations and improve the dynamic stability of power system.
