Nowadays,most of the tourist attraction guide systems are location based service,the guide information is complicated and overloaded but the display mode is simple.The tourist attraction guide system based on augmented reality technology can change the way to search for attraction information and provide a new interaction method for users.It can also change the information display form to give users a rich sensory experience.Besides it can promote users to interact with the system and arouse users to explore more things,so that it can make better emotion experiences for users.Applying augmented reality technology to the guide system can give more targeted information to users.And reasonable information classification with rich display mode can make the system more logical and more comprehensible to improve the efficiency of information transmission.Firstly,the author investigates and analyze mainstream augmented reality devices and interaction methods,and select the mobile terminal which is a representative example of handheld device as the guide system device and touch interaction as the main interaction method according to the user requirements and usage scenarios in this paper.Secondly,the author analyzes the feasibility of the guide system based on Unity 3D development platform,and propose targeted solutions to the key technologies involved in the development process.Thirdly,the author summarizes the characteristics of attraction information by summary method and categorize the information according to the content dimension.Then make a theoretical research on information display strategy of guide system from three aspects: display media,interactive visual elements and interactive action.In the last part,apply the information display strategy theory into practice to design the tourist attraction guide system for the auditorium of Southeast University.The design includes usage scenario and task flow analysis,information architecture design,interactive design and visual design.After the completion of design,the system is prototyped on the Unity3 D platform and an augmented reality guide system development process based on the platform is proposed.The system usability test prove that the augmented reality guide system can effectively improve the user’s interactive experience;the difference of system information display according to the information classification helps the users to search for information rapidly;different dimensions of the information content with different display strategies can be more vivid and comprehensive and improves system availability and information transfer efficiency.The tourist attraction guide system realizes the complete application of augmented reality technology on the mobile phone,verifies the effectiveness of information classification display.It provides a theoretical reference for the classification and display of other types of information and has implications for the design of various types of guide systems.
