The matching research of the engine compartment thermal management system is to control the heat transfer process from the system perspective and optimize parts and components to achieve a comprehensive optimization.The introduction of the engine compartment thermal management system makes a difference from passive control to active management.The matching analysis of the engine compartment thermal management system is to improve the economy,reliability and comfort of the vehicle by using the thermodynamics principle.Fluent software was used to build the simulation platform of engine compartment management system to analyze the airflow and heat transfer characteristics of the engine and engine compartment system.The simulation results can provide reference for the performance analysis and optimization design of engine compartment thermal management system.The heat balance test of the engine compartment in the wind tunnel laboratory can be used to verify the simulation results.The effect of ambient temperature,thermostat open temperature,distance of the fan extends into the cover,distance between fan and heat exchanger on the thermal equilibrium got the verification through the wind tunnel experiments.The results provided the support for the cooling system matching between the engine and vehicle and explore the method to optimize engine compartment thermal management system.
