In respond to assure the safe and reasonable use of distributed renewable energy,microgrids generally keep the real-time power balance through the coordinated operation of energy storage devices,wind,photovoltaic power and any other distributed energy sources,so as to reduce the power shock effect when the distributed energy sources turns to the grid-connected mode.Therefore,it is urgent to study more efficient and flexible control methods of microgrids to meet the increasing development trend of distributed renewable energy penetration.In this paper,a novel and flexible interconnecting framework for microgrids and corresponding energy management strategies are presented.The main work as followings:First,the simple architecture that the traditional microgrid only connects with the main network by a single point has been improved on and the energy interaction among multiple microgrids has been increased by.The key idea is to establish interconnection and energy exchange between adjacent microgrids and the main grid through a multiport electrical energy router,according to the complementarities of the microgrids in time and spatial scale,and economy of their energy production and consumption.Therefore,energy surpluses or deficits can be compensated by complementary energy exchanges on the microgrid side without interference of the main power grid.Three-layer control system applied to new microgrid interconnection system architecture was proposed in this paper.Core controller of different layers,controlled objects,and independent control tasks in the control system were designed.The parallel operation mode,which is the third operation mode of microgrid,was well defined in the microgrid interconnection system architecture.Energy management schemes of coordination between energy routing layer and microgrid layer were proposed,combined with microgrid modes switching among three operation modes.The analytical model is established for the whole system,including the energy router,the interconnected microgrids and the main grid.Various operational modes of the interconnected microgrids,facilitated by the energy router,are analyzed,and the corresponding control strategies are developed.Simulations are carried out on theMatlab/Simulink platform,and the results have demonstrated the validity and reliability of the idea for microgrid interconnection as well as the corresponding control strategies for flexible energy flow.
