Wireless Power Transfer(WPT)is a power transmission technology which makes power from transmitter to receiver without direct electrical contacts.As a result,the WPT can avoid some risks which exist in the traditional power transfer system,such as the lines are aging,wear and tear,leakage,and short circuit,etc,which exit in the mode of traditional power supply.So it is very suitable to apply this technology to some devices worked in underwater environment.And deal with some problem that those devices faced.Using the WPT technology not only can meet the demand of real-time power supply,but also improve the work efficiency of devices.This paper mainly studies the underwater wireless power transmission system with electric-field coupled,and the composition and principle of the circuit will be introduced in detail.And three key parts of the system,high frequency inverter,tuning network and coupling mechanism were analyzed.Firstly,the status and development of technology with ECPT in domestic and international scope were introduced.Besides,compare the difference between ECPT in water and ECPT in air.Secondly,coupling mechanism is the key part of in underwater ECPT system,and it is studied in detail.The research contents include the shape,plate-material,filling medium,the value of equivalent capacitance and the equivalent circuit model.Besides,the coupling mechanism is simulated and analyzed by using electromagnetic field simulate and analyze the coupling mechanism using the simulation software Maxwell of electromagnetic.Finally,the system of ECPT in water is simulated and analyzed by using the circuit simulation software of Multisim.The power transfer capability of different tuned network systems is analyzed.And the efficiency of the system under different frequency also is analyzed.Besides,the underwater experiment platform is built,and the previous theory and simulation analysis are verified by the experimental results.
