With the significant improvement of national economy,vehicle ownership in China is ever increasing.Promoting electric vehicle(EV)can speed up fossil fuel substitution,reduce exhaust emission,which is of great significance to ensure energy security,accelerate energy saving and emission reduction,control air pollution and transform China from a big auto consumption country to a big auto production country.Well-built charging facilities are key foundation for promoting electric vehicles,which highlights the necessity of scientific charging station planning techniques.As a means of transportation,EVs can become load of the road network and distribution network.They fulfils the travel demand of customers in the road network,and are refueled in the distribution network.It is a key link of distribution system and transportation system and an important element in the energy internet.This paper adopts traffic simulation to simulate the behaviors of EVs in the road network in order to obtain the charging demand on the way and properly plan charging stations.The detailed work of this paper includes:(1)This paper proposed a game theory based static traffic flow simulation method and a dynamic traffic flow simulation method based link transmission model(LTM).The static method can obtain the traffic flow distribution of road network at a specific time,which is simple and useful.The dynamic method can calculate the spatial and temporal distribution of traffic flow in a road network,which is accurate but more complex;(2)The arrival rates of EVs at charging stations can be predicted according to the spatial and temporal distribution of traffic flow.Then M/M/c queuing model can be used to analyze the service index of highway charging stations,including the waiting time of EVs;(3)This paper considers minimizing charging waiting time of EVs and the construction and maintenance cost of charging stations as two conflicting objectives of two different stakeholders.With the constraints of charging station interval,charging waiting time and charging station capacity,the multi-objective planning model of Highway EV charging stations was proposed;(4)Multi-objective particle swarm optimization method(MOPSO)was adopted to solve the multi-objective planning model of highway charging stations to obtain the Pareto front of non-dominated solutions,and VIKOR method was used to sort the solutions to choose the optimal planning scheme.The results of case study show that the method proposed in this paper can properly consider the spatial and temporal effect of dynamic travel demand and typical traffic flow characteristic on queuing process in charging stations.The optimal planning scheme obtained by the multi-objective model can overall consider the construction and maintenance cost of charging stations and the convenience of EV charging.
