With the c ontinuous development of science & technology and the current society' s requireme nts for environmental protection and energy conservation,light gauge steel structure was increasingly c oncerned for its own good mechanical and work performance.Light gauge steel stru cture system has become an extremely important part of residential housing in developed countri es at present;its development in domestic is also steadily fo rward.However,due to the influence of its expensive cost of light steel structure,high technical requirements and the inconvenience of the second renovation,the wall of the hollow and other shortcomings,the popularity and promotion of light gauge steel structure was obstructed.In view of those shortcomings,this paper proposed a new structural form——lattice light gauge steel——lightweight concrete composite structure system.This system can optimize using of light steel and lightweight concrete,not only fully exploited the characteristics of high tensile strength and good plasticity in steel,good compressive performance in lightweight concrete,but also used their own advantages to make up for their own shortcomings,to avoid its weaknesses.This system can solve the various problems of light gauge steel structure system as well.In this paper,we study the keel part of channel-section lattice gauge steel—lightweight concrete composite wall columns,which was lattice channel steel column.A total number of 18 lattice channel steel columns,which length are 3 meters,and with 6 kinds of thickness(0.8 mm,1.0 mm,1.2 mm,1.5 mm,1.8 mm,2.0 mm),were subjected to axial compression test and theoretical analysis to obtain the buckling mode,ultimate bearing capacity and deformation performance.At the same time,the Young's modulus,yield strength,ultimate tensile strength and elongation can be received by the material test.Compared the test results of each specimen and analyze the difference.Based on the series test of the lattice channel steel columns,ABAQUS finite element software is used to simulate and analyze the results.The results are in good agreement with the experimental data,which verifies the correctness and rationality of the finite element modeling method.The bearing capacity according to the lattice column formula from " Technical Code of Cold-formed Thin-walled Steel Structures " is close to the test and finite element analysis results,indicating that " Technical Code of Cold-formed Thin-walled Steel Structures " can be used in the calculation of the axial bearing capacity of lattice channel steel column in this paper.In addition,a series of experimental studies and theoretical analysis show that the working performance of the lattice channel column is mainly controlled by stability,and the form of destruction of the columns are mainly overall buckling.The influence of the connector and the initial defect on the column is great.The research work of this paper will provide some reference for the research and application of the lattice light steel structure and lattice channel steel keel-concrete composite structure system which will come later.
