Overload relay is a kind of important low voltage protection electrical apparatus.It is usually used together with the contactor to realize fault protection of motor.Along with the increasing application of overload relay,the performance can change.The condition of performance degradation affects the reliability of the fault protection.As a result,the performance monitoring and degradation and forecast analysis has become particularly important.In this paper,a typical kind of overload relay is chosen as the research object.Firstly,based on the principle of overload relay,the temperature and the displacement of the key components are studied on and simulated.Secondly,the effect of key parts such as thermal double system on the performance of overload relay is analyzed.The key parameters which reflect the change of the performance are found out.Then,according to the test principle and test conditions,the test scheme of performance monitoring is determined and performance monitoring system is designed.The test is carried out under different setting current.The experimental data of the temperature and the action time are obtained and analyzed.The simulation tracking method is researched on.Finally,based on the original data and the wavelet noise reduction data,by use of the RBF neural network,predictions of the action time parameters of the overload relay under different setting times are finished.The results show that the prediction based on the noise reduction data is more accurate.
