Study On Design Concept Of Coastal Tourist Road

With the rapid development of the economy and the improvement of residents' living standards,demand for tourism and sightseeing is growing continuously,and the tourism industry has become an important sector of the national economy.The tourist road has dual functions of transportation and tourism,acting as an important carrier of facilitating the integrated development of transportation and tourism.Our country has rich coastal tourism resources.In recent years,China has also gradually begun to attach importance to studying the construction of coastal tourism roads.How to balance the relationship between the tourism element and traditional road design is the challenge requiring confrontation by road designers.In this paper,the definition of the tourist road is firstly summarized,and the road system featured by service tourism is proposed as the core of the tourist road.The coastal tourist road is defined as a category with coastal characteristics under the tourist road,with its main characteristics being illustrated.Secondly,from the perspective of road overall planning,roadbed and pavement planning,bridge planning,cross planning,service facility planning and slow-moving system planning,the Highway 1 in California,the US is investigated and analyzed,and its technical characteristics are summarized.Meanwhile,it compares the natural,social and economic characteristics of the West Coast of California which is passed by the Highway 1 and the coastal area of Guangdong Province,coming to a conclusion that Highway 1 has reference significance to the construction of the tourist road in the coastal area of Guangdong.Moreover,it extracts the design philosophy of the coastal tourist road from five aspects,which are respectively,overall layout,vehicle system design,slow-moving system design,service facility design,visual landscape design and so on.That is,in the overall layout of the coastal tourist road,a road system with the vehicle system as the main body and the slow-moving system as the auxiliary body,elaborately designed service facilities and emphasized visual landscape design should be formed.In the specific design,according to the characteristics of the sections along the road,the roadside should be divided into the coastal section,the tourist section,the landscape transition section and other characteristic sections in the longitudinal space,and apply the corresponding design philosophies to the four elements of the system in the horizontal space(vehicle system,slow-moving system,service facility and visual landscape),to conceive the design scheme suitable to the natural,cultural and socio-economic characteristics along the road.In the end,taking the Maoming section of the tourist road in coastal area in Guangdong as an example,the coastal tourist road design philosophy extracted in this paper is used to conduct overall planning and design practice of its vehicle system,slow-moving system,service facility and visual landscape.It is expected that this paper can provide reference for the design of other coastal tourist roads.
