As the main component of urban transportation, public transportation has taken most of the travel demands of urban residents. However, with the rapid development of the economy and the continuous expansion of the cities’scale, people’s travel demands and the requirements for the quality of public transportation services are increasing. But the development of public transportation supply cannot keep up with the constant changes in demand, resulting in low operating efficiency and poor service quality. As a result, the attractiveness of residents in choosing public transportation is reduced, and poor service reliability is the main reason for the low level of public transportion services. In order to improve the current situation, and with the continuous advancement of science and technology at the same time, the real-time scheduling method came into being.Section speed control is one of the real-time control methods for equalizing bus headway. In the study of the control of the speed of buses, the optimization of the vehicle speed is of course important. At the same time, how to publish the optimized guiding-speed information to the drivers in a scientific and reasonable manner cannot be ignored.Based on the differences of drivers’cognitive response and combined the simulated driving simulation experiment, this paper studies the effect of different release forms of instruction.Firstly, four kinds of instructions are issued:voice speed accurate value instruction, voice speed difference value instruction, voice blur instruction, and indicator blur instruction.According to the vehicle speed data obtained from simulation experiments, stable vehicle speed, speed difference value, and duration are selected as features to analyze the characteristics of the vehicle speed changes under instructions. The analysis found that there was no significant difference between the voice speed accurate value instruction and the voice difference value instruction, and there was a significant difference between the voice blur instruction and the indicator blur instruction;the impact of the individual attributes of drivers on the speed change under the instructions was relatively small;the initial-speed,guiding-speed have a certain influence on the speed change under the instructions.Secondly, based on the analysis of the speed change under the instructions, taking into account the influence of the initial-speed and the guiding-speed,a logarithmic function is used to construct a reasonable mathematics model to explain the effect of different release form of instructions. The analysis results show that the goodness of fit is higher(R~2 value is almost always greater than 70%),indicating that the speed functions of different release forms of instructions can be calibrated using logarithmic functions. Finally, according to the bus headway deviation and the difference between the initial-speed and the downstream adjacent bus speed, the status of the public transportation service is divided into 5 categories, and the transfer relationship between the service status of the public transportation is clearly defined, and based on the analysis of the effect of the speed control instructions, proposing a form of speed control instructions for different service states. This study has certain theoretical and practical significance for optimizing and improving the bus speed control system, reducing the travel time of passengers and operating costs of bus companies.
