The rapid development of consumer electronics and communications products make the demand for capacitors increase dramatically.Appearance defects inspection is an important part of capacitor production.Due to the large capacity and small volume of capacitor products,the traditional manual inspection methods can not meet the requirements of mass production in terms of inspection speed,missed inspection rate and labor intensity.Based on visual image processing technology,this paper studies,designs and develops capacitor appearance defect detection system.The industrial camera is used to obtain the image information of the object to be detected,the image data is transmitted to the image processing module through data communication,and the appearance of the product is detected through analyzing,identifying and judging the target image.The research in this paper is of great significance to improve the on-line detection efficiency of capacitors and ensure the quality of products manufactured.Based on the comprehensive analysis of machine vision technology and its development status,and the common appearance defects of capacitors and the requirements of test efficiency,the paper designs the overall scheme,working principle and inspection work flow of the capacitor defect detection system which is based on image processing,and elaborates the composition and function of the detection system module.The visual inspection hardware system is designed and selected.The hardware performance parameters of industrial camera,optical lighting system,lens,rotary encoder and PLC are deeply studied and analyzed.In particular,the optical illumination scheme of the detection system and the precise control technology of the camera snap trigger are studied.Finally build up a visual inspection system hardware experimental platform.The paper presents a reconfigurable design method for complex testing of capacitor products,and designs a three-layer structure of the reconfigurable system of capacitor detection software.The image processing library was created,the algorithm components in the image processing library were structured,and the function of the algorithm was realized through the method of parameter configuration.Finally,by configuring the capacitor image processing chain,to achieve specific testing tasks.The algorithms used in the visual inspection process are studied in depth,including the noise removal method,image edge extraction and threshold segmentation of image processing,and image morphological analysis and algorithm research of Capacitor pins and bottom.According to the detection requirements of appearance defects such as the bottom of the capacitor,the incision of the bottom surface,the deformation of the pins and the leakage of lead electrolyte,a visual inspection experiment platform was set up and reconfigurable technology was used to configure the image processing chain of capacitor defect detection.The research has been tested and experimentally verified.The test results show that the system can meet the detection requirements of conventional appearance defects of capacitors and has good stability and reliability.The content of this paper can not only be applied to the appearance detection of capacitors,but also to the appearance inspection of other similar products.
