The efficient use of existing transportation infrastructure is one of the most important research areas in the vehicle and driving assistance development process. The desired ratio of cars respectively passengers per square meter leads inevitably to connected vehicles.Either via information sharing between the vehicles as well as between the vehicles and the environment or via mechanically connected multi axle vehicles. These quasi-train-like vehicles are the basis for this paper. This research work shows the development of a multi-axle steered vehicle model concerning its lateral dynamics. This model, which will be implemented in the common simulation software Matlab, should show the force distribution and its influence on each essential part of the vehicle regarding different steering angels(different curve radii)and different velocities.Furthermore,it could be used for the development and analysis of the guidance control of such multi-axle steered vehicles. In order to develop such a complex model, the system will be divided into several sub-systems(body,axle,tire,etc.).These sub-systems must be investigated individually. Therefore, common and simple models such as the single track model or the used suspension model,in which the roll motion of sprung mass is considered, are explained in detail and conclusively combined into the final model of an n-part multi-axle steered vehicle model.
