In the past, when constructing river revetments, the safety and durability of revetment projects were often considered. Therefore, almost all of the revetment materials used hard materials such as masonry and concrete. The application of such hard materials seriously damaged the ecological health functions of rivers, which was not conducive to ecology.Sustainable development of the environment. The design and application of ecological revetment conforms to the development trend of modern river management. The ecological revetment not only avoids the shortage of hard revetment structure, but also can stabilize the bank slope,so it is widely used.At present, the effect of soil revetment of vegetation roots in ecological revetment is lacking in measurability and controllability. In order to determine the quantitative effect of the existence of plant roots on the stability of bank slope stability, this paper mainly uses the limit equilibrium method based on reinforcement theory and the ABAQUS finite element analysis method based on the principle of strength reduction method, with the Lianshi Lake section of Yongding River in Beijing as In the test area, the root morphology distribution and characteristic parameters of grass, irrigation and vegetation were measured, and then the root parameters were used to quantitatively analyze the shallow stability and overall stability of the bank slope to identify the shallow root reinforcement and deep root of vegetation roots. The anchoring effect on the stability of the bank slope soil,so as to better guide the design and application of the ecological revetment project. The results showed that the roots of Bermudagrass were distributed within 30 cm of soil layer, and the roots of Forsythia were distributed within 60 cm of soil layer.Bermudagrass and Forsythia have better reinforcement effect on the slope soil in the root distribution range, which can effectively improve the cohesion, shear strength and shallow stability of the bank slope, below the root distribution range. It also has an indirect reinforcement effect on the soil, but the effect is small. The overall stability and safety factor of the bank slope of herb revetment, herb shrub revetment and grass-filling revetment increased in turn, but the herb and shrub reinforcement had less influence on the overall stability of the bank slope, while the anchorage of the tree roots on the bank slope as a whole The influence of stability is large, and it is most effective when planted on the shallow slope of the potential sliding surface of the bank slope.
