EMU frame lateral stability is one of the main contents of the vehicle dynamics system,Concerning to smoothness and security of EMU.Studying EMU frame lateral stability the most important issue is wheel-rail contact,equivalent conicity as the wheel-rail contact important parameter,seriously affect the EMU frame lateral stability.In this paper,the study focus on CRH3 EMU with frame lateral vibration overrun.by collecting and statistical analysis a large of CRH3 EMU and line data with the overrun of frame lateral vibration,some feature of frame lateral vibration overrun such as excessive equivalent conicity and track gauge with negative deviation and too wide light brand of rail and other has been confirmed.To solve the problem,choose targetedly two CRH3 EMU which frame lateral vibration overrun frequently to make a long-term tracking and analysis and two rail sectors with frame lateral vibration overrun frequently to conduct special tests.Then obtain the change regulation of wheel and rail profiles and equivalent conicity in different rail sector and different operating mileage of Wheel Profiles.Based on test data and statistics,the use of dynamic simulation software UM has got the regularities of the influence on the wheel-rail wear shape and the wheel-rail geometry on the wheel and the rail to equivalent conicity and equivalent conicity to CRH3 EMU frame lateral stability.
