With the development of dam engineering,more and more high arch dam played an increasingly important role in the national economic construction and social development of our country,therefore,the high arch dam safety status monitoring and health diagnosis research has very important significance.However,the existed high arch dam health diagnosis model has no or less considered the monitoring information uncertainty problems.Therefore,this paper brings the fuzzy rough set theory into the high arch dam health diagnosis,sets up the health diagnosis model based on fuzzy rough set,provides a new method for the study of high arch dam health diagnosis.The main contents are as follows:(1)By analyzing the present situation of uncertainty question research in high arch dam health diagnostic,this paper points out the deficiencies,and puts forward to establish the high arch dam health diagnosis model based on fuzzy rough set,in view of its advantages.(2)By analyzing the the basic concepts and advantages and disadvantages of fuzzy set theory and rough set theory,this paper proved the feasibility of organically combining the two.It provides a reasonable basis for constructing high arch dam health diagnosis model based on fuzzy rough set.(3)According to the complementarity of fuzzy set theory and rough set theory,it effectively merged the fuzzy theory and rough set theory.The method of fuzzy classification is used to avoid the information lossing in the process of discretization.The attribute reduction method,which golden section is introduced,greatly improved the efficiency of reduction.By using the comprehensive weight which combined the entropy method and expert evaluation,it improved the subjectivity of expert opinion in a certain extent,used the fuzzy evaluation to gradually evaluate the health status of high arch dam.(4)The high arch dam health diagnosis model based on fuzzy rough set is established,in which,rough set theory is used to reduct the attributes in high arch dam safety evaluation decision table,the fuzzy set theory is used to discretize the continuous attributes in the decision table,and the fuzzy state is used to judge the health status of the high arch dam,which is higher than the traditional rough set model.Using the engineering example,the fuzzy rough set model is used to analyze the safety status of the high arch dam,and obtained a good result,which shows that the model is feasible and worthy of popularization.Considering the complexity of the high arch dam health diagnosis and the limitation of some objective factors,the achievements of research in this paper is only preliminary,and in the future,there is still a long way to go for the application of fuzzy rough sets in the field of dam safety monitoring.
