In recent years,the working environment of labor has become more and more concerned by both the international and the domestic,and the seafarers’ are no exception.Ship noise is a kind of serious pollution,not only affect the comfort level of the seafarers’ working and living environment,affect the seafarers’ working communication,sleep and rest,the more importance is that long-term exposure in noise possibly to cause seafarers permanent hearing damage that cannot recovered,then reduce the seafarers’ working level.With the new rules Code on Noise Levels on Board ships entry into force,the control of the noise of ship cabins is no longer the reference suggestion,but the project which is restricted by mandatory rules.With the appearance of the statistical energy analysis(SEA),it is proposed that the complex system has an accurate and effective analytical method for the random excitation response of high-frequency band.With the rapid development and popularization of computer technology,the statistical energy analysis method has obtained the rapid development and promotion,providing a powerful supporting tool for the ship cabin noise predication.So the ship builder may control and optimize the cabin noise in the early stage of ship design.The advanced approach to control cabin noise today is: to use SEA method to predict and evaluate the cabin noise and then to put forward specific adjustment and optimization plan to reduce the cabin noise according to the assessment results to ensure that the cabin noise is up to standard.This paper firstly presents the related indicators and acoustic concepts of the new rules of noise on ships,and introduces the research progress,principle,key points and parameters of SEA,and the VA One software with SEA module.Based on this,the 208,000 DWT bulk carrier is used as the research object,the SEA module in VA one software is used to predict and evaluate the ship’s noise,and the result is compared with the standard value.Then the noise source and transmission of the noise exceeding cabins are analyzed,and the noise reduction optimization is carried out.Finally,the noise result that meets the specifications is obtainedThe research work of this paper provides a reference for noise prediction and reduction for other ships.
