Research And Application Of Bus Sign Language Station System Technology

By the end of 2017,according to the data of the fifth census,the number of hearing-impaired people in China has reached about 20 million,increasing by 20 thousand to 40 thousand per year.Hearing impaired people will have many inconveniences when they travel.For example,they can not grasp the arrival information in time,there are often crossing down the wrong station.According to the results of the questionnaire survey of deaf and Dumb Students in Zhenjiang special schools,37% of the hearing impaired people were afraid of the bus and did not take the bus;39% of the deaf people took the bus occasionally,and 65% of the deaf people were mistaken.The main reason is that the existing bus stop reporting system can not effectively provide sign language information and can not effectively serve the hearing impaired population.In order to effectively provide sign language station information in the process of bus stop,to avoid the phenomenon of mistaken standing in the hearing crowd,and let the hearing impaired people feel the care of the society,we designed and developed the bus sign language station system.The system mainly uses technology including: Natural Language Processing technology,including voice synthesis and semantic understanding,knowledge management technology,animation generation technology,Internet communication technology and Android application development technology.This paper makes a deep study and application of Natural Language Processing technology,and designs an automatic animation generation technology based on state machine,and integrates these technologies into the bus sign station system,and realizes the functions of the bus sign language station.First,collect sign language pictures and videos to form sign language library.And then use the natural language understanding technology to understand the need to report the text of the station and use animation generation technology to automatically generate sign language animation,used in the bus sign language station,let the deaf people in public transportation can get the information in time,avoid getting off the false station.The bus sign language station system has used the key technologies such as Natural Language Processing,knowledge management,and automatic generation of sign language animation to realize the synchronization of word speech and sign language.The results of the system test show that it can not only meet the more convenient communication and communication needs between the deaf people and the ordinary people,but also can effectively improve the quality of life of the hearing impaired people,and provide convenience for the future sign language teaching,and the application results have been highly recognized by a Mobile Corporation.
