Energy storage system is an important power facility,which is used to solve the problem of unbalanced power generation and consumption.The technical route of battery energy storage system that emerged in recent years and enables the energy storage system to be installed in different application scenarios,such as power generation,power grid and power side.Originally,energy storage projects could only be built by the government,but now more and more private capital starts to get involved in this field and participate in the investment of projects,but there is a general lack of data accumulation and project experience in the early stage.Text reference the part of the literature at domestic and abroad,mainly based on data and knowledge accumulation in the work,this paper analyzes the energy storage system architecture,the main factors influencing the investment returns and risks.and the"peak and valley cutting"and“abandoned electric recycling",which are two mainstream business models of revenue,operating mode,configuration choice,and other key issues to construct the mathematical model and example analysis.At the same time,the risk factors are evaluated and sorted from the two dimensions of occurrence probability and consequence severnty through the face-to-face expert interview method for the possible project investment risks,so as to provide the investors of battery energy storage projects with reference for investment decisions.The results show that in coastal areas with large difference in peak and valley electricity price,it is of good commercial value to select the advantageous industrial and commercial users with stable operation and large difference in peak and valley electricity consumption to invest in the energy storage system for peak and valley cutting.In the areas with serious light abandoning phenomenon in northwest China,photovoltaic power stations with high on-grid electricity price can be selected to invest in energy storage system for power abandoning recovery,so as to obtain better investment returns.In addition,with the development of battery technology and improvement of quality,and the continuous decline of product price,energy storage system can have a broader application prospect.
