Mars rover is an important part of Mars exploration mission,and also an indispensable medium for human to understand Mars.As a complex system,the design,development and validation of software and hardware of Mars rover need a lot of experiments,which is a time-consuming and high-cost process,so simulation has become an important part of Mars rover research.Traditional dynamic simulation software mostly uses regular structure to construct the terrain of Mars,which is inconsistent with the actual driving environment.The simulation results are not realistic enough,and it is difficult for Mars rover to select the optimal path according to the actual environment when carrying out exploration missions.In order to improve the authenticity of Mars exploration simulation and rationally plan the exploration path of Mars rover,this paper constructs the basic feature model of Mars ground in virtual reality environment,completes the exploration path planning of Mars rover through improved ant colony algorithm,and verifies the reliability of the improved algorithm.The work of this paper starts from the following aspects:Firstly,the basic characteristics and main parameters of Mars environment simulation are obtained based on the investigation of the terrain and landform of Mars,and the realistic Mars simulation environment is constructed in the development environment of Unreal Engine 4 according to the environmental characteristics.The terrain and landform of Mars are depicted by light model and texture mapping method,the dust effect of Mars is simulated by particle system technology,and the physical characteristics of Mars environment are realized by using physical engine plug-ins.Finally,the realistic simulation environment of Mars is realized.Secondly,the professional three-dimensional modeling tool,3DS MAX,is used to build the model of Mars rover.By model transformation,the model of Mars rover is combined with the built Mars environment model,and a variety of special effects are added to the simulation scene to make the simulation interface more realistic.By using viewpoint tracking technology,multi-view and omni-directional navigation of Mars scene is realized.Finally,real-time human-computer interaction of Mars rover is realized by programming with illusion engine 4 and 3DS MAX.Subsequently,in order to realize the detection mission of Mars rover in Mars environment,it is necessary to plan the path of Mars rover.Based on the traditional ant colony algorithm,which is easy to fall into local solution and slow convergence,this paper proposes an improved pheromone updating method,which improves the accuracy of three-dimensional path planning and avoids the search falling into local solution.Finally,the simulation is carried out in MATLAB,and the results show that the method is effective.Finally,using Unreal Engine 4 as the visual simulation platform,the improved ant colony algorithm is deployed to the Mars simulation environment to complete the visual simulation of Mars exploration mission from the mission starting point to the target point.
