With the development of economy,people’s demand for energy conservation and emission reduction is increasing fast,low-carbon lifestyle has become a trend.Pure electric vehicle,especially logistics vehicles,are of great importanceto the advocacy of the resource conservation and low-carbon transportation,vehicle control unit(VCU),as the main core technologies of electric vehicle(EV),whose efficient and perfect control effect is the guarantee for safe operation of the(EV).Therefore,it is of great significance to design a comprehensive vehicle controller unit(VCU)which is consistent with relevant safety regulations and perfect function.This article is mainly on the design of electric vehicle controller unit(VCU)and control strategy,ensuring the safety driving and real time monitoring,diagnosing and treating the vehicle fault,designing the soft/hardware of the controller,and completing the sample and prototype with debugging and testing.The main research works are as follows:Firstly,the structure of the vehicle control system and the corresponding basic performance parameters of electric vehicle are designed,the CAN protocol is introduced,and the vehicle communication protocol based on the vehicle controller unit(VCU)is revised.Secondly,based on the technical requirements of the vehicle controller,the whole vehicle hardware circuit is designed based on NXP single chip microcomputer,including the minimum system,power module,digital input/output,analog input/output,CAN communication drive circuit,etc.and design PCB board using AltiumDesignersoftware on basis of ensuring electromagnetic compatibility(EMC).Again,on the basis of satisfying the operation condition of the vehicle,the strategy of controlling the vehicle speed according to the speed of acceleration pedal is designed,the braking energy feedback strategy is formulated according to PID adjustment,and the safety management strategy of the vehicle is introduced to guarantee the writing of the control procedure of the vehicle controller unit(VCU).Thirdly,in this paper,establishing the vehicle dynamic system model and simulated by the MATLAB/Simulink and AVL CRUISE software,the simulation result shows that the driving control strategy runs well.Further,according to the modular and hierarchical design thinking,software structure of the vehicle controller unit(VCU)is designed,and the underlying driver and application program based on the control strategy are written.Finally,the vehicle controller unit(VCU)is tested and verified in the real electric vehicle.The test results show that the interaction information between the vehicle controller unit(VCU)and other parts is correct,and the control strategy with high reliability is good.The vehicle controller unit(VCU)has realized the expected control function,and the research results show that it has high engineering application value,which is worthy to be used in the field of controller.
