Yokeless and segmented armature(YASA)axial-flux permanent magnet motor is characterized by high power density,high torque density,high efficiency and short-axis,thin-type performance and structural characteristics.And the wheel drive and other fields have important application value,the main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)The research background and significance of this topic are introduced.The research status of this subject is also reviewed,including the research status of axial flux permanent magnet motor,the research status of permanent magnet motor based on SMC material and the yokeless and segmented armature machine,and finally the research content of this paper.(2)The structural principle and superiority of the YASA motor are introduced.The motor is analyzed by electromagnetic design and computer aided design based on magnetic circuit calculation.Firstly,the dimensional equation of the motor is derived.Then the analysis and calculation of the no-load and load magnetic circuit of the motor are carried out,and the computer-aided design program of YASA motor is written.(3)Two kinds of analytical calculation methods for the motor are proposed and studied:the equivalent magnetic network method and the two-dimensional equivalent finite element method.The calculation results and calculation accuracy are not only verified by the three-dimensional finite element method,but also with the aforementioned magnetic circuit.(4)The cogging torque ripple of this kind of motor is analyzed and optimized.Firstly,the influencing factors of the cogging torque ripple of the motor are studied.Then,the cogging torque pulsation of the motor is optimized by the combination of the response surface method and the genetic algorithm.Finally,the three-dimensional finite element method is used.(5)According to the previous design analysis,the experimental prototype of YASA motor was fabricated,and the no-load,load and temperature rise experiments were carried out.The experimental results not only can obtain the performance parameters of the motor,but also verify the accuracy of the previous calculation of the motor.
