Ship maneuverability is one of the important hydrodynamic properties of ships, which is closely related to the navigation safety of ships. However, the maneuverability in shallow water environment is quite different from that in deep water environment. When the fishing boat leaves the port, the ballast is not much, and the water depth is relatively deep compared with the fishing boat's draft. However, when the fishing boat returns to the port, the ballast becomes more and the draft becomes larger.Besides, since the large tuna Seine fishing boat is considered in this paper, the water depth condition should be given more consideration. In recent years,Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD)has developed rapidly, which provides a good basic condition for the application and development of Computational Fluid Dynamics(CFD)technology for ships, and also makes it possible to solve many problems conceived in the 1900 s.In this paper, based on the CFD commercial software STAR-CCM+ platform, the Navier-Stokes equations(RANS)were solved to simulate the viscous flow field of the ship's turning motion under different water depths, and to monitor the hydrodynamics acting on the hull.Appropriate turbulence model and the high quality grid carrier is very important to the accuracy of the simulation results are obtained, through to ESSO OSAKA tanker calculation model for the comparison of simulation results with the test results of verification, determine the suitable for shallow water environment control movement of numerical simulation of viscous flow around ship turbulence equation and is suitable for the conditions of the grid. After verification method is feasible, the large tuna seiner as calculation model, for different water depths and different rotating speed of turning motion simulation, observe its free surface in sailing, sailing after vorticity, pressure distribution on the surface of the hull, effect of hydrodynamic data on the hull size, for tuna ships in the harbor, when turning the maneuverability of forecast.
